Manufacturing intelligence, rooted in Oman.

Muhandis, Arabic for “engineer”, is a manufacturing-intelligence venture. It explores how three things could work as one system, and what useful knowledge the data from making things can produce.

Concept stage. The proof of concept comes first. No cell has been built yet, and there is no production system.

The cell as an idea on paper, with the parts it would need.

  1. Each job starts as a specification: the part, the material and the tolerance it must meet.
  2. A compact production cell, built to be measured from its first run.
  3. Instruments record what happens at every step of the process.
  4. Every run is logged, so results can be compared, traced and learned from.
  5. Engineers see what the cell is doing and why it suggests each change.
  6. People approve every change. The system advises; engineers decide.

The cell measures the work, partners provide the capacity, and the intelligence learns from both, so each job informs the next.

  1. An instrumented production cell

    A robotic cell that measures what happens at every step of the work it does. It’s the first thing to prove.

  2. Qualified partner manufacturers

    Production capacity through vetted partners, so the system can take on real jobs.

  3. Manufacturing intelligence

    AI that learns from what the cell and partners record, so each job informs the next. Engineers make the decisions.
